Divorce Goals

1.  To discuss facts about divorce

2.  To share, identify, and accept one's feelings about divorce.

3.  To develop positive personal relationships among family and friends.

4.  To recognize and cope with situations and difficulties relating to divorce.

5.  To interact with and support other children who are experiencing divorce.

 
 
 

Friendship Goals

1.  To identify qualities of a friend.

2.  To identify ways to make and keep friends.

3.  To practice appropriate ways of relating to others.

4.  To learn and practice methods of conflict resolution with peers.


Self-Esteem Goals

1.  To develop a sense of worth and competence.

2.  To strengthen his/her bonding with friends and family.

3.  To express and display feelings of self-confidence.

4.  To demonstrate positive changes in attitudes and behaviors.

5.  To develop an appreciation for the uniqueness of each individual.


Feelings Goals

1.  To be able to recognize and label four basic feelings:

 happy, sad, angry, and scared.

2.  To develop the ability to verbalize their feelings.

3.  To better understand that sharing feelings helps us to

know ourselves and others better.

4.  To become aware that each person has feelings, and that sometimes

people express their feelings in different ways.

 
 

Parents Away Temporarily (PAT) Goals

1.  To discuss facts about parent being away temporarily.

2.  To share, identify, and accept one's feelings about a parent being absent.

3.  To recognize and cope with stressful situations.

4.  To interact with and support other children who have an absent parent.

 
 
 
 

Health and Wellness Goals

1.  To learn to make healthy living habits.

2.  To make good food choices.

3.  To understand the difference between helpful and harmful drugs.

4.  To teach ways to take care of their bodies

Anger Busters Goals

1.  To identify anger a normal, healthy emotion experienced by everyone.

2.  To identify the kinds of situations which generally provoke

anger in one's self and how one typically deals with it.

3.  To understand that there are appropriate and inappropriate

ways of dealing with anger.

4.  To identify the consequences which follow the inappropriate

expression of anger in a school or home setting.

5.  To practice alternative appropriate ways of expressing anger

Manners Goals

1.  To assist in becoming helpful, sharing, polite, kind, thoughtful, and dependable.

2.  To tell the truth

and inappropriate manners and behaviors.

Study Skills Goals

            1.  To help students understand the importance of using good work habits.

            2.  To help students understand the importance of having good behavior in school.

            3.  To help students understand the importance of putting effort into their school work.
 

Conflict Resolution Goals

1.  To help students learn about conflict.

2.  To help students learn what can trigger and escalate conflicts.

Telling the Truth Goals

1.  To identify what is "True " and "Not True"

2.  To tell the difference between telling the truth and lying

3.  To understand the importance of honesty at home and in school.
