Please let me introduce myself! I am Jeanette Boyle, a native of Virginia
who
came to South Dakota with my husband, Chris, on his last military
assignment before retirement. During his Air Force career we had
the opportunity to live overseas for ten years, in both Italy and
Germany. I worked as a kindergarten teacher's assistant at the
DODDS schools at Camp Darby and Ramstein, and loved working with great
teachers and students who inspired me to become a teacher myself.
After moving to South Dakota, I completed a
degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education through Black Hills
State University and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction
through the College of St. Scholastica. I have been a classroom
teacher at Douglas since the district expanded to an all-day
kindergarten program in the fall of 1999. And yes, I love my job!
