Lunch/Snack/Milk Time
The Kindergarten students have a snack and milk during each afternoon
recess. Both are optional every day. If your child
does not choose to have milk they may have a drink of water. If
your child does request milk however, I do expect them to drink it all
so that it is not wasted. “Snack milk” is a 35 cents
per milk but processing this will go much smoother in our class if you
send in $5.00 at a time and food service will notify you when it needs
to be replenished. Please send the money in a sealed
envelope (junk mail envelopes work fine) labeled as follows:
Child’s Name
Room # 18 Badger Clark
Lunch/Milk Money
When we run out of healthy snacks, I
will send home a note to ask families to replenish our supply.
All snacks should be healthy, easy to eat, and have a shelf life
of at least a month. Some good choices include goldfish crackers,
graham crackers, cheese and cracker snacks, and pretzels.
Fresh fruits and veggies are always welcome and we will serve them the
same day they arrive. If your child has any food allergies please
notify me as soon as possible so I can make the necessary arrangements
to prevent a reaction. Please remember the school policy that all
snacks must be sent in original packaging with ingredients on the
label. This helps so much when determining foods that students
may be allergic to.
Our cafeteria has been computerized. Lunch is $1.50
and lunches can be purchased from food service at the middle school or
you can send in a monthly amount in a sealed, labeled envelope and I will send it
to the office to be processed. When your account is getting low (below $5.00),
food services will notify you to send in more money. If
your child eats cold lunch they can purchase a lunch milk for 35c.
Any money that comes to school
for any reason should be in a sealed envelope and be labeled with your
child’s name, school, room number, and purpose for the
money. This cuts down on lost and misplaced money.
