Dear Parents,
I would like to take this time to thank all the families who sent in treats for our Valentine Party.  The children all looked so special and displayed such fine manners during our festivities.

It was lovely to get to visit with you at our school conferences this month. Miss Volk also appreciated all of you allowing her to be part of the conference process.  She is doing a wonderful job in teaching your children and I am enjoying the time her presence affords me so that I can work with your children individually.  I will continue to communicate your child’s weekly goals in their Friday Folders so we can keep them moving  forward and learning new things.

March will be an exciting month for us.  We are getting close to finishing up numbers through twenty and the children are really doing well on their letter and sound recognition. Some of our themes for this month include: Weather, Saint Patrick's Day, Easter and Plants.  Sadly, our in resident Art teacher finishes his work in our building on March 5th.  It has been wonderful to have Mr. Martin here to share his talents, methods, and love of Art with your children.  Some days to remember this month include March 12th- early dismissal day, March 20th- teacher inservice day (no school for students), and March 21st and 24th- no school due to Easter Recess.

As part of our discussion on the Saint Patrick's day holiday I am encouraging students and their families to build a leprechaun trap as a family project.  Have your child bring their trap to school on Friday, March 14th.  We will display the traps and discuss how they work as part of a class project and show and share.  On Monday we will see if we can catch a lucky leprechaun

As we look to next year and preparing your children for first grade, we also take this time to remind parents of next year's kindergartners that we are holding a Spring registration.  If you have a child or know of a neighborhood child who will be attending Kindergarten next year please encourage their parents to attend the registration being held March 31st-April 3rd.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call me at Badger Clark: 923-0080.  Thank you.
