Reading Incentive and Book It Program
As part of our classroom goal
to have each children exposed to books everyday, we host a Reading
Incentive Program called "Dive into Learning" each week of the
school year. Our classroom goal is to have each child read or be
read to 5 times per week. Upon completion of 5 books fill out the
"Dive into Learning" book form and return it to school. Your
child's reading goals will be recorded on the reading chart. From
October through February Pizza Hut Restaurants offer an added reading
incentive program called “Book It”. To be involved in
this program a student must read or be read to five times each month
and turn in a list of books that they have read or have been read to
them. Upon completion of the list, your child will receive a
coupon for one free personal pan pizza. Students who complete the
reading goals each month of the program receive an honors certificate from
Pizza Hut in March. Watch your October newsletter for more
information about this program. Use the“Dive into
Learning” book form I will enclose in the orientation packet to start filling out titles you and your
child have read together!
