All About Marcy Cundall

I received a Bachelor's Degree from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota in May of 1995.
I enjoy reading, playing my flute, and spending time with my family.
I have taught students in first through fifth grade for five years as a special education teacher and a literacy teacher.  I have been a classroom teacher in second grade, and most recently, in first grade.
I come from a family of teachers.  My mom taught third, sixth, and seventh grade for over 30 years.  My dad taught school and was an elementary principal while I was growing up.  My grandmother taught first and second grade for over 40 years.
I believe all children can learn to read and write when given the right amount of support and encouragement.  Teaching first graders is exciting because there is so much growth that happens during the year.
