Welcome to Badger Clark Elementary School. Our school was built in 1960 as rapidly expanding Ellsworth Air Force Base brought many students to the district. Badger Clark is named after South Dakota’s 1st Poet Laureate, Charles Badger Clark, Jr., (1883-1957).
Badger Clark student population is approximately 470 Kindergarten and First grade students with 59 staff members. We have a diverse population with many military dependents, local Box Elder, Rapid Valley and southern Meade county students.
Our students enjoy Art, Computer, Library, Music and Physical Education very week in addition to their regular class. Other programs supporting our students’ education include: gifted, special education, counseling, Title 1 and english as a second language.
Proud of our school, district, community and country, we are Douglas Patriots!
