Attentions DHS Students!  The National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y)
The NSLI-Y program offers all expense paid scholarships for summer overseas study of one of seven critical foreign languages: Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Persian, Russian and Turkish. The program is designed to immerse participants in the cultural life of the host country, provide formal and informal language practice, and spark a lifetime interest in foreign languages and cultures. Graduates of this program are eligible to receive a year’s credit of Foreign Language study as well as many college scholarships. The application deadline is October 30, 2014. See the poster outside Ms. Keffeler’s Room 41 for more information.  Also, don’t forget the Congress-Bundestag Scholarship to Germany is closing soon!

Yearbook is selling pictures and custom posters. Posters are $7 and pictures are $1 each or 8 pics for $5. Talk to a yearbook student or Mrs. Clark for details.
