Anonymous Alert

The Anonymous Alert email system allows any individual to send a completely anonymous email to the Superintendent of the Douglas School District. The Anonymous Alert email system was part of a 5 year grant from SchoolSpan Inc.

All of us have concerns that school violence is on the rise. Students are often the first to know about potential problems manifesting themselves. They hear things in the hallways, after school, from friends, but are often too afraid to tell a staff member for fear of retaliation or embarrassment. Sometimes parents overhear students discussing such information but often do not know who to contact.

Using Anonymous Alert, any member of our school community can send an anonymous message to school officials, warning them of drugs, guns, violence, or a student crisis that demands attention.

The Anonymous Alert only records the IP address from the message in an effort to minimize false reporting but NO other data about the sender is kept.
