The Pygmy Marmoset is the world's smallest monkey. The adults weigh around 80 grams. The average length is around 5 and a half inches with an 8 inch tail. This monkey has claws, not nails.
They are very fast runners. They move either very fast or in small dashes. The pygmy marmoset is also very playful.
The female can give birth to two babies at the same time. The father carries the babies around on his back. The mother nurses them by catching small insects.
The Pygmy Marmoset has very good eyesight. They also make very loud chirping sounds like birds.
They are found in groups of 5 to 10 marmosets in one group. The Pygmy Marmoset lives its entire life in the canopy layer.
