The Douglas School District is rich in diversity because of its association with the Ellsworth Air Force Base and a thriving community. We have many students attending Douglas who have spent time in other parts of the country, as well as other parts of the world as a result of their parents’ military service. In addition to the Ellsworth Air Force Base, the city of Box Elder is a growing community. Due to that growth, families from other parts of the country are calling Box Elder their home. This, too, adds to the diversity of our student body. Add that diversity to our mid-western values and you have an exciting environment for teaching and learning.
The Douglas School District is well known as an innovator and provider of excellent education. This is evident by the number of families who search out our school district when moving into the area. It is also evident in the variety of educational opportunities that are provided to our students, as well as in the many awards that our students and staff earn on the local, state, and national levels.
Throughout the district, students can be found exhibiting the values and qualities that are the essence of the Douglas School experience. There is no better place to educate children than in the Douglas School District and no better place to raise a family than the Box Elder community. Join our family and be part of an outstanding school district and a progressive community.
Our mission is to “Prepare all students to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world!” Through our student body, our staff, and technology we meet that mission by bringing the world to our students.
