Pre-Algebra is a one-year course designed to prepare the student for the study of Algebra I.  This course will utilize the properties of equality and inequality to transform single and multiple-step linear equations and inequalities within the real number system.  This course also explores the modeling of linear relations and functions and the use of geometry to solve problems involving geometric figures.

informal geometry is a one-year course that explores the properties of two-dimensional geometric shapes.  the course will also explore right triangle trigonometry and coordinate geometry as well as areas and volumes of two and three dimensional shapes.  topics studied in informal geometry are similar to those studied in geometry but less emphasis is placed on formal proofs.

ap calculus is a one-year course that focuses on the topics in differential and integral calculus.  this course will follow traditional sequences of topics found in a college level calculus.  students who are enrolled in this course will have the option to take the advanced placement ab calculus exam and upon successful completion of the exam receive ap credit.  graphing calculators are highly recommended and required on the ap exam.
