Our
school district does have a homework policy. It states that,
"Homework is recognized as an effective schools practice and is one
means of teaching the necessary skills of independent study and
learning outside the school. Homework is to be an extension of
classroom learning activities." Homework should be limited to 20
minutes on task.
Homework will be assigned on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Students will have a blue homework sheet with the assignment written down. Please take the time each night to check your child's sheet to see what the assignment is. There is a space for you to initial after the assignment is completed. This sheet is handed in on Friday. Your help and support will not only make your child more successful in school this year, but will instill good study habits that will last a lifetime. I expect all homework assignments to be completed and turned in on time.
