New spelling words go home on Friday. The test is on the following Friday.  This gives us a whole week to practice them. We practice them each day at school with a variety of activities. I encourage you to practice the spelling words at home also. Some ideas for practicing the spelling words are:

  1. Write them five times each.
  2. Rainbow words, each letter is written in a different color.
  3. Use the words in a sentence.
  4. Parents misspell the word and the student corrects it.
  5. Play Hangman!
  6. Paint the words.
  7. Build the words using Play Doh.
