I have been privileged to have been teaching at Douglas School District since 1989. I taught third grade for nine years and then switched to first grade and have been there ever since. Each year has been very rewarding and fun. As a teacher, I have the opportunity to work with kids and love to share the joy of learning with them daily. It’s so amazing to watch kids as they finally make the connection and read a word they have struggled with or are finally able to solve a tricky math problem. I love to watch as they grow academically as well as socially.
