to teach is to touch lives forever  Meet The Teacher teacher desk
The mediocre teacher tells.
The good teacher explains.
The superior teacher demonstrates.
The great teacher inspires.

The first question most people ask me is how do you pronounce Maciejczak?  It is a Polish name and it is really simple if you just ignore most of the letters! The "Ma" is "Mu"(short u), the "cie" is "cha"(long a) and the "jczak" is "chalk", like chalk you write with on the chalkboard.  So when you put it all together it looks like mu-cha-chalk.  I am also fine with Mrs. M. if you are having problems!

I grew up in a small town in northwest Nebraska.  I attended Chadron State College in Chadron, NE which was about 80 miles from my hometown.  I met my husband Dan there.  I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an Endorsement in Early Childhood Education.  We moved to Rapid City in the fall of 2000 and I began teaching in the Douglas School District.  I am starting my 9th year of teaching at Douglas and my 3rd year of teaching third grade.  I have also taught at Happy Days Preschool and at Badger Clark as a kindergarten teacher.  My husband, Dan, is a football coach.  We have 2 children Jared, 11, who will be a 6th grader at Douglas Middle School, and Jason, 3.  We also have a dog named Lucky who has been a part of our family for 5 years.

I enjoy reading, cooking, traveling, football, playing with my kids, and watching my 11 year old play football.

I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you and getting to know you in the upcoming school year.
