Homework

My homework policy this year will be that students will bring home any work not completed during the day. I expect this work to be done at home and returned the next day. Full credit will not be given for work received late. Students will also have math homework and short homework assignments that review skills we have been working on at school. Students are expected to read 20 minutes every night, practice spelling words, and practice math facts.

If a student is absent, missed work will be sent home and expected to be completed. The make-up policy for the Douglas School District is 2 days for every day missed. So, if your child absent for 2 days, he/she will have 4 days to make-up the work. Group work, in-class games, and class discussions can not be made up so regular attendance is encouraged.
