Career Launch SD helps you explore education and career options at no cost. Career Advisors work with you on real workplace skills to help you succeed, such as career exploration, filling out applications, and job interview skills.
Todd Larson with the Department of Labor & Regulation will be at Douglas High School on Thursdays and Fridays to provide guidance as a Certified School Career Development Advisor. He can help students think more tangibly about what work they want to go into post high school, all of their options for post-secondary education, on-the-job training, apprenticeships, and other things of that nature. Todd can also help students seek quality part-time work, internships, and job shadows.
Career Launch SD was developed as Governor Dennis Daugaard’s legacy labor program to encourage youth to make informed career decisions through early work experiences. This will help meet South Dakota’s demand for a skilled workforce. To contact Todd, call Douglas High School at 605.923.0030 or email Todd.Larson@k12.sd.us.
