Parents who live outside the Douglas School District can apply for their students to be considered for open enrollment to the Douglas Schools. The Open Enrollment application can be found on the website under the Parent tab /Student Registration page or requested from Central Office at 400 Patriot Drive, Box Elder.
Applications must be received at Central Office no later than 3:00 pm on Monday, August 5. The Douglas School Board reviews all applications at its first meeting in August; and parents are notified within 5 days of the decision.
If accepted for open enrollment, the student is obligated to attend Douglas Schools. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from school.
Any student who is currently open enrolled to another school district but plans to return to Douglas School for the 2019-20 school year, must notify Douglas School District by August 1. The form is available on the Department of Education’s Open Enrollment webpage.
