Parents who live outside the Douglas School District can apply for their students to be considered for open enrollment to the Douglas Schools. Open Enrollment applications can be found on the Department of Education website or requested from Central Office at 400 Patriot Drive, Box Elder.
Applications must be received at Central Office no later than 3:00 pm on Monday, August 6. The School Board will review all applications at its first meeting in August; and parents will be notified within 5 days of the decision.
If accepted for open enrollment, the student is obligated to attend. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from school.
Due to HB 1114, parents of any student who is currently open enrolled to another school district but plans to return to Douglas for the 2018-19 school year, must notify Douglas School District by August 1. The form is available on the Department of Education’s Open Enrollment webpage.
