School Closure Extended

Douglas School District just received word--

Governor Noem announced today, March 17, at her media availability in Sioux Falls that all schools in South Dakota will be closed for one more week, the week of March 23-27. During the next week of closure, schools should make all efforts to provide flex, or alternate, education. Once again, this step is being taken in order to stay ahead of the spread of the coronavirus.

All Douglas administrators are meeting Wednesday to finalize preparations for providing access to technology, paper copies of work, and food services. Please monitor your email or social media for updates on how we will provide instructional materials.

Thank you for the patience and kindness as our district and community work through this crisis.
