Incoming Transcripts

Dear Families,
We are committed to ensuring your incoming student receives the consideration they deserve for their hard work at their former schools. We intend to work alongside you, as well as your former school, to ensure a smooth transition into DHS.  As a result, we will honor your child's coursework with as much fidelity as possible.
Douglas High School uses a 4.0 grade point scale, with the exception of our Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors courses.  We use a 5.0 grade point scale for Honors and AP coursework. When new students transfer to Douglas High School, we honor their transcripts from the previous accredited schools.
In unique situations where the amount of credit issued from a previous school differs from the traditional systems, we will be in contact with you to discuss graduation requirements and district policy.
Should you have any questions, please contact our counseling department at (605) 923-0041 or the main office at (605) 923-0030.
