hi welcome to the Douglas early intervention preschool program I am one of the early intervention teachers here at Douglas I have been working for the school district for the past 29 years email address the phone number which I could be reached at the remind app is for all returning students to share information about what is happening in our classroom hi my name is Hillary Jester and the other early intervention teacher here at Douglas I've been teaching for eight years and this is my third year teaching in the Douglas School District as an early intervention teacher below you'll find my email address and you can also reach me at 605-923-0090 this is Sarah by mercies are speech language pathologist she is located in our building and where it says already preschool-age children or e-mail address in the same phone number she can be reached at I say Sydney but I wanted a pair of professionalism The Early Intervention Program I've been in Douglas for 8 years my bodyguards I'm another professional I've been working in the Douglas School District for 25 years this is Lisa Gaston or occupational therapist she's been teaching in the Douglas School District for over 20 years the Ireland to their physical therapist who has been in the Douglas School District for over 15 years in the Early Intervention Program we work with children from birth to 5 years of age that are are my prolonged ifsp Part D services or on an IEP Part B Services we work with different groups in for different ages we work on skills ranging from communication to being able to appropriately play with other children one of the main things we love to do is have children Play and Learn at the same time we encourage our students to play with different items for toys while learning new skills the part B versus reprogram Explorer services in services that are provided to children who have been referred to us from the birth of food program based in Rapid City based upon their evaluations and identified as provide the schools the services if you have any concerns for 3 to 5 year olds provide services to children who qualify according to Part B in South Dakota guidelines this may include speech occupational therapy Physical Therapy If the child is eligible in these areas if you have any concerns with any child who is over the age of 3 the school can be contacted with the possibility of a developmental screening early intervention classrooms we run a morning sessions with generally have run it each for an hour and also generally are three to four year old children and I have new session we run up two and a half hours we work trade you for that communication different items and learning new skills would you send a monthly newsletter home to parents that will go over the areas that we are working on in the classroom as well as suggestions to what you can do to support your child at home we are excited for the new school year and look forward to
