If you would like to make an online payment, log into Parent Portal, click on Food Service, click on Pay, add dollar amount, click Add to Cart. Click on My Accounts to apply a payment method, then return to My Cart to complete the payment process.
Free and Reduced Priced Meal Applications are now located on the Parent Portal under the Application and Forms tab. Parents who are first time users of the portal may obtain their access codes by visiting their student's school office. There is a computer kiosk available in the Food Service office for those who have trouble accessing or filling out the application. Adjusted meal prices start the day after your application is processed. Meals purchased prior to processing are fully paid prices.
Transfer Money / Refunds: Due to the large number of students in the district, Food Service will not transfer money from account to account unless the student is leaving the district. If the student is continuing and has money on his/her account that they will not be using, the parent may request a refund by supplying a self-addressed stamped envelope and a written request to: Food Service Department ~ 691 Tower Rd ~ Box Elder, SD 57719. Please note, money left in the account at the end of the school year will follow your student to the next grade as long as they continue at Douglas School District.
