Douglas Middle School Traffic Changes for the 2026-2027 School Year
As construction continues on the Douglas Middle School addition, we have updated our traffic pattern to improve safety and traffic flow for students, families, and buses. Please review the attached map before the first day of school.
Morning Drop-Off – Map
- Parents, we encourage you to use the new, larger parking lot off Tower Road for student drop-off.
- Students will use the designated crosswalks and safe walking paths to enter the building.
- The new bus loop is reserved for buses only. There is no parent drop-off allowed in the bus loop.
- There is no parent drop-off at the Visitor Entrance.
- Please follow all posted traffic signs, remain in the designated traffic flow, and avoid parking, stopping or waiting in traffic flow areas.
Afternoon Pick-Up – Map
- Parent afternoon pick-up will also take place in the designated parking lot using the traffic pattern shown on the map.
- The new bus loop is reserved for buses only. There is no parent pick-up allowed in the bus loop.
- There is no parent pick-up at the Visitor Entrance.
- For everyone's safety, please use the marked crosswalks and do not park or wait in areas marked as restricted.
Activities – Refer to Afternoon Pick-Up Map
- Activities Entrance / Visitor Entrance is for athletics, Clubs and Special Events that occur after regular school hours.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we begin the school year with these new traffic patterns. Following the designated routes will help keep traffic moving efficiently and ensure a safe arrival and dismissal for all students.
Families are encouraged to attend the Family Walk-Through on Monday, August 17 to help them prepare for the first day of school.
